Open Road is an independent expenditure PAC driven by rural people who are choosing community over corrosive politics in rural America.

We don’t romanticize rural life. We live it. And we’re here to make civic engagement a little easier, a little smarter, and a lot less boring. If you believe rural America deserves better, you’re in the right place.

In 2026, we are focusing geographically on Iowa’s 1st Congressional District by hosting rural community building & educational events as well as producing meaningful traditional and online marketing content. Our goal is for the 1st District to elect Democratic representation that respects rural experiences and ensures rural voices are heard in Washington D.C.
